With its great tradition as a rite of spring, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run normally welcomes over 5,000 runners on a 5-mile course through downtown St. Louis. Our commemorative t-shirt has been a classic for runners and walkers in our region as are the finisher’s medals.
As we know, 2020 brought its own set of challenges resulting from the pandemic so we were not able to hold our event in person and it was necessary to pivot at the last minute to a virtual run. We’re pivoting again this year but the tradition will go on!
Therefore, the 43rd Michelob Ultra St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run will include an in-person run on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 beginning at 8:00 a.m. along with a virtual run.
The Live Run – SOLD OUT
Local officials have authorized a live (in-person) run in Forest Park for the morning of March 13th. The event currently has a maximum capacity of 500 and is sold out for 2021. Please note that the run start will be staggered to achieve social distancing. In addition, the live event on March 13th will be a 5k (3.1 miles) run instead of the normal 5-mile distance.
The Virtual Run
For those wishing to run the traditional 5 miles, a virtual option is available to complete between March 13th and March 31st. Please click on the “Register Now” button below for more details, how to participate, and where to submit your results!
The 43 Mile Challenge
In celebration of our 43rd year, we are also presenting an additional challenge to participate in! Runners will be able to register and compete with others by running an average of 2.25 miles a day from March 13th through March 31st to reach 43 cumulative miles by the deadline. Please click on the “Register Now” button below for more details, how to participate, and how to submit your result!
As we mentioned above, all participants in all of the runs will receive a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal. A preview of the finisher medal is listed here.
The St. Patrick Center
And finally, a portion of the proceeds of the 2021 Run will go to the St. Patrick Center to support their important work in providing opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The Covid-19 pandemic has made the work of the St. Patrick Center all the more invaluable to those at risk. Learn more about their mission at www.stpatrickcenter.org.
THANK YOU for your continued support and we are looking forward to being back downtown and bigger than ever in 2022! Happy Running!
