About the Run

The 47th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Run has become a great tradition as a rite of spring. It is one of the largest events of its kind in the St. Louis area, and is regularly noted as one of the top events in the country.

Each year, more than 5,000 participants take part in the 5-mile Run or the 3K Shuffle on the streets of downtown and midtown St. Louis before the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The event has raised tens of thousands for St. Louis area charities over the past 45 Runs, thanks to the support of our sponsors and thousands of runners like you!

Who can participate?

  • Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome.
    All participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt and finisher medal – classics for runners and walkers in our region throughout the years.
    Prizes are awarded for to the top 3 finishers for males and females in categories from ages 14 and under through 70 and over.Please note that streets will reopen after the bulk of the pack has passed, so slower runners may be asked to make their way to the sidewalks.
  • Walking participants and jogging strollers are allowed in the run. However, we ask that you be considerate of the other runners. Please, for the safety of yourselves and your children, we ask that you start near the back of the pack.
  • Pets are not allowed in the run.

This event is put on by the St. Louis Metropolitan St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Run Committee–a 501[c]3, all-volunteer charitable organization.

A portion of the St. Patrick’s Center Parade Run proceeds will be donated to St. Patrick Center, supporting the mission of St. Patrick Center

St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

We envision a community without homelessness, a place where everyone has safe, affordable housing.
